Superstar Rajini back in action!

Rajini films have always been surrounded by pre-release hype and hoopla! "Enthiran - The Robot" is no exception at it! Though Rajini's previous venture 'Kuselan' bombed at the box office, it was no fault on his. The producers should never have marketed a film in which he makes only a guest appearance as a full length Rajini film! Past is past! Now, he's back in a totally new avatar!

The poster released recently shows a clean shaved metallic Rajini sportin' a rose. Moreover, there are added attractions in the form of the brilliant director Shankar and the most elegant music director of all times, A.R. Rahman! The last time the trio got together was "Sivaji: The Boss" which was a massive blockbuster! So, when the trio gets together again, obviously so much of hype gets into the act. Moreover, this film is said to have the costliest budget in the Indian Film Industry so far!

A full length Rajini film with a solid screenplay and excellent direction never bombs at the box office. Moreover, the female cast includes the beautiful Aishwarya Rai and the haute Deepika Padukone. So, the glamour quotient will also be on a high with the beautiful ladies around! The shooting for the slick flick has already started on September 8 in the USA and is scheduled to be released in 2012. I'm sure it will rock and haunt the Indian film Industry for years to come and put overseas film-makers rave like anything! Its the first full-length sci-fi movie to be made in India! Rajini roxxx! Hope he's fully successful with this venture!

After 5 billion years, what happens to our beloved Planet?!!

Hi guys, I'm here today to share a few astronomical facts with you. Most of you might be knowing about the Life Cycle of a Star, right! It is born as a protostar, then the main star is formed gradually and with the passage of time, if the mass of the star is lesser than or equal to the Sun's mass, it will become a Red-Giant or if the mass is 1.5 or more times the mass of the Sun, it will become a Supergiant. After this, the star will finally turn into a white dwarf or a black hole.

The life of the Sun is about 10 billion years. Out of that 5 billion years have already passed away. Its left with only 5 more billion years to live. But for the red-giant stage to start, it may not take longer than 2.5 billion years more. Though we won't be alive that long to see the red giant gobbling up our neighbourhood planets! But The Earth will lose its atmosphere and will be as barren as the moon. An artist has beautifully visualized how earth will look after red giant phase is on! Take a look:

Phew! A lifeless earth is really hard to digest. The scorching red-giant will burn up all life on this planet. No day, no night! Each day will be the same. Though the fact whether earth also will be consumed by the red giant or not is still a mystery! But I strongly believe that mankind will still survive and somehow think of a way of leaving our beloved planet before the disaster happens. There are reports of many planets which resemble the Earth in other galaxies, but they have to be well-researched. Technology has to evolve for that like anything!! An alternate place to find is one thing, and transporting all the Earth's strength millions of light years away is an impossible task!! Though mankind may survive, all of mankind won't survive!! Lets see what the Space Research majors have in mind for this!

Wonder why noone made a movie with a complex script as this with a rough hypothesis atleast.

Atleast, they could have made some path-breaking insights and laid a foundation or atleast an idea for the survival of mankind! Thinks friends, think! Who knows what technology man may come up with to retain life somewhere in this Universe!

Nosy Pop-up Ads spoil the blog

The most irritating aspect of owning a blog under the blogspot domain is the pop-up ad that gets attched with your blog and does not leave you alone, no matter how much you wriggle, shake and struggle to get the damn thing off you! At first I thought, it was a malware and run AdAware Programs to inspect if any malware was detected on my system. Fortunately, no malware was detected.

I then, searched the web for any pop-up killer software, but I ended up only with pop-up blocking software. Then I registered myself with yahoo answers in an attempt to find a solution there. But, later on I found the truth that the code for running these ads were present in the source code itself. Google gets paid for putting up pop-up ads on others blog without their permission. Or should I say, they get paid for putting up ads on "their" blogs under the blogspot domain!! So, we cannot claim the removal of pop-up ads from our blogs, sorry sorry, their blogs! Have to learn to live with that irritating stuff.

The major disadvantage of the pop-ups are that they reduce the readability of the blog content and drive away many readers who are under impression that this blog is infested by malware, LOL. ;) Moreover, you cannot write paid posts because the advertisers want a clean blog and not a one with idiotic things popping out and the websites offering to pay you for blogging threaten you with a ban that would be imposed on your blog if you write paid posts continually without the removal of these pop-ups.

Google's new Web Browser - Google Chrome

The news of Google's official release of the new browser, Google Chrome is making waves everywhere and grabbed a lot of attention! Google, the search engine giant, has spread its tentacles in the Browser industry too! When asked to comment on this, Mozilla's chief executive, John Lilly replied that it wasn't surprizing that Google had made its entry into the Browser domain and he'd have been more surprized if it hadn't made its entry into Browser development!

Curious to know how the interface and working of the browser is, I downloaded and installed it only to find out that the interface is as clean and simple as its home page. :)

The other added features which makes it special are: Minimal Interface, Stability, Minimal interference by Download popups, Better Performance, Private browsing (The incognito mode), Dynamic Tabs and the list goes on! :)

Google's new browser, Chrome, has the following security features too:

1· Site blacklists to protect against malware and phishing

2·A privacy mode (Incognito) to erase tracks of user activity.

3·A thorough Clear Browsing Data dialog box.

But the really innovative feature in Chrome is the way Google has built the browser's rendering engine to run in a sandbox! Each Browser tab is an isolated process running with limited capabilities. This means that if a malicious application were to run, it could not crash, interfere with or impede the others running in tabs! It also means that the app cannot do things, like write to the file system that could make the malicious app persistent.

But unfortunately, there are already demonstrable holes in the sandbox. Chrome, for example, has already been demonstrated to be vulnerable to the Apple Safari "Carpet Bombing" vulnerability. The new version of the attack drops files in the Chrome download folder; the user would have to be persuaded to run them via a social engineering attack. This may or may not be practical, but the sandbox did fail.

Why did it fail? Because Chrome is built on open source code from other platforms, including Apple's WebKit. Google specifically used a version of WebKit prior to the fix for the Carpet Bombing bug. Par for the course with some open source projects.

Already, Google Chrome has reportedly taken up 3% of the Browser market share. After resolving these vulnerabilities, it will emerge as the world leader in the Browser industry just as it achieved cult status in the search engine domain!!

There's a lot of interest within the leading ladies in the Tamil Film Industry to intensify their careers by shifting to other domains. But the thing is that some of them are too hasty in selecting their projects. Finally, they end up badly in both their existing career as well as future career in other domains. As the saying goes, "Dhobi ka kutta naahi ghar ka, naahi ghaat ka"(A washerman's dog belongs neither to the home nor the streets :))!! No offense, its just a proverb! :) The current hotties of Tamil Film Industry who have shifted their careers juggling Tamil Films as well are Shriya, Genelia and Asin. A short note on their success story:

1. Shriya Saran:

She started off in Tamil Film Idustry with Mazhai and Thiruvilayadal Aarambam but her biggest break was Sivaji opposite Superstar Rajini. She was already the queen of Telugu Film Industry with a variety of films being blockbusters in Andhra. But, success didn't hold her from experimenting new avenues. She went in search of a career in Tamil Film industry and struck gold with Sivaji!! With that film, she was ruling the roost of the Tamil Film Industry. But, she wanted more!! Guess what, she went in search of greener pastures in Bollywood and even Hollywood!! The results for her Hollywood venture isn't out yet. But still, the results are declared in Bollywood and the result is "Fail"!! The latest movie with which she re-tried in Hindi was "Mission Istanbul" which the critics ripped apart to bits deeming it as a huge failure. Earlier, she had starred with Emraan Hashmi in Aawarapan which was a flop again, but guess what, she was nominated for a Filmfare award for the best Debut Actress when she had already starred in two movies in Hindi before Aawarapan!! The two movies were "Tujhe Meri Kasam" and "Shukriya: Till Death Do us apart" again flops!! But still unable to make a mark in Hindi, she's struggling to carve a niche for herself. But what is the use when the project selection itself is wrong! Hindi is one field where U have to give a hit at the very beginning of your career in order to survive there. Lets see whether she saves her name atleast in Telugu and Tamil Film Industry!! :) P.S. She's acting with Jesse Metcalfe, the "Desperate Housewives" star for a Hollywood movie. Lets see how she fares there!!

2. Genelia D' Souza:

She is an adorable and cute heroine whom I like very much for the bubbly characters she plays on-screen! :) She started off as a svelte girl in Boys, but after two or three movies, she wasn't to be spotted much in the Tamil Film Industry with which she had made her foray into Telugu Films. She was successful with it too and she went on to win a couple of Filmfare awards for her performance in "Bommarillu". But, she too tried for newer avenues and went on for Hindi movies "Masti" and "Mere Baap Pehle Aap" which were average grossers and didn't do much for her career, though her debut movie was "Tujhe Meri Kasam". The problem with the movies mentioned above are that the roles were not meant for her. Script Selection being wrong, she couldn't taste success. But, she went on to act in "Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na" which was a runaway success! :) The reason for her success was the choice of role. She was playing the peppy herslef, girl next door character in the movie which was cherished by all! Now, she's got a strong base in Hindi too with a couple of projects coming her way. Hope the peppy girl goes a long way in Hindi! :)

3. Asin

The lady I was waiting to write about! The Kerala girl made her foray into the Tamil Film Industry with "M.Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi" which was a runaway success. After that, there was no turning back for her! She had a huge share of hits with almost all the leading actors in the Tamil Film Industry. Recently too, she starred with Kamal in "Dasavatharam" which is a blockbuster! Though her role was limited in the movie. Her role in Ghajini with Suriya won accolades for her and was a huge hit in both Tamil and Telugu. The nuances in the story attracted Aamir to re-make it in Hindi. While thinking about the heroine, many choices were being considered. But Asin made her way straight to the role and is waiting to taste success in Hindi! The movie is almost ready with the distributors ready to pay a record amount adding to which are the credits that the movie was hugely successful in Tamil and Telugu and the huge banner of Aamir Khan and his name for quality movies in the Hindi Film Industry!! So, we can definitely hope that Asin will make an unblemished entry into Hindi Films and outshine others! :)

Guys, ending this article, I've a question propping up in my mind. Just like heroines are trying to make their names in Hindi Films, how about our Tamil Heroes doing the same!! ;) Think and do comment about it! Until then, its me, Chella signing off! Bye... :)

The bitter truth behind Neeya Naana

Guys, I'm an ardent fan of Gopinath the host for Neeya Naana show hosted on Vijay TV. The way he carries the show on his shoulders is absolutely fantastic! His mannerisms, the way he speaks and his style, everything is superb! I love the show very much and make sure I don't miss out any of the episodes. But, I happened to receive a mail from my friends portraying the real face of this "reality" show. I want to share his experiences with u guys.

His experience at the show is given below:

Hi friends,

I would like to share my disgusting experience when I had taken part (so called participation) in Vijay TV NEEYA-NAANA talk show with all of you. I had registered for this program through SMS, I got a call from these guys about a week later and they had asked me to come for a shoot last Saturday (14 Jul 07) ,at AVM studio Vadapalani . I was really excited about my participation in this program, as this is a very popular talk show considered to be pretty nice.

I had great expectations about the arena where the show is being filmed, but to my shock the floor where the show was filmed was like a cave, no A/Cs and not even fans, I was literally sweating for the entire 3 and half hours of the shoot. when we had asked to switch on the fans they say that"the fans will cause unnecessary noise in the recording so we will not turn it on ...."

Even after spending 3.5 hrs like this, most of the people who were invited to participate in the show were not allowed to express their views. In both the teams (for and against teams) they had people who were hired and paid to speak; the mike was circulated to only these people. There was one other participant like me who had lost his patience and forcedly asked for the mike to the host GOPINATH, his reply was "look here Boss, you don't direct/advice me how to carry out the show, that's what for I m being paid for...please keep quiet and wait till I give the mike to you".

This incident was more nerve wrecking, there was a blind man who had come to take part in this show, he was also trying to seek for a chance to get the mike and express his views, seeing this the production team had approached this blind man and had scolded him and said him not to shout for the mike when the camera is rolling as this would cause unnecessary editing sequences. This was the worst demotivating response I have ever seen, that too towards a visually impaired person who has come with all hopes to speak out. The whole show was a fabricated one , all made up , the final verdict of the debate was decided even before the discussion had started , and the host Gopinath also takes the discussion in such a way giving more priority to the team which they had decided to win. Those people who were paid a sum of Rs.2000/- were evenly distributed among the two teams, and these people drive the discussion, all others are called to just fill up the seats. The sole intention of such programs is to make money and not at all serve for the real social awareness what they claim to do. It's all commercialism behind these shows.

Normally this NEEYA NAANA team visits IT and ITES companies in the city and hunt for people to take part in their so called talk show, I humbly request all of you to not encourage this team even to enter your office premises, and please don't encourage such fabricated talk shows by either taking part in their SMS opinion polls or by nominating to participate in it or even watching it. All this result in total vain, this had wasted almost 6 hours of participants like me. Finally ending up nowhere.

Please pass on this information to at least to your friends to communicate the reality behind such shows, this would really help in saving your friends' time, money and energy.

I was really shocked to read this article, but I guess its the truth. This is how they conduct most of the reality shows. Its just a game of money, a business, in the name of serving people by "opening their eyes" nothing more to them. But guys, this is where we really need to open our eyes. Hurray! Here comes the man who struck gold for India!! The expectations of more a billion people in the country were riding on his shoulders. And he did not fail us!! Its a rejoicing time for India as its the first time India has won a gold medal for Shooting at the Olympics.

Ace shooter Abhinav Bindra, India's first individual Olympic gold medallist, says he has been "punching holes on black paper" for the last 10 years. This obsession fetched the reticent 25-year-old a gold medal in the men's 10m air rifle shooting contest on Monday in Beijing.

Bindra was a child prodigy, representing India at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, while just 16. In 2000, he was not yet 18 years old, when he went to the Sydney Olympics. He was the youngest in the contingent. But within a year he was winning medals around the world and in 2002 he became a Commonwealth Games gold medallist!!

Four years ago, Bindra, looked all set for an Olympic medal. He strolled into the final at Athens with a score of 597 out of 600 and was third. But in the final, things didn't go his way. He shot his worst series of the day and crashed to seventh position. But now, he's finally done it!! He deserves the glory!! :)

Cricketers should strictly stick to their forte if they want to maintain their dignity. The first impression that the above pics give is that they're in love. U ask "What the hell is this!!!" Then u get to know that this is a photo shoot for some film in which Sreesanth makes his foray into the tinsel world!! Ya, you're right guys, the baby faced, school boyish fellow is becoming a hero!! The south Indian film industry is seriously losing its standards dudes!! It seems we have to tolerate all these things rather than digesting it. But yeah, when you can see people like Sundar C. and all becoming a hero, seeing Sreesanth becoming one, won't be much of a barrier. Ena Koduma Saravanan Idhu!! :(

Meet India's youngest M.Tech from IIT @ 17 years!!

When most students his age are in college, S Chandrasekar has won a gold medal in Computer Science at IIT Madras. At 17, he is the youngest Indian to have aced Masters in Technology with a CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 9.85 on a scale of 10.

Take a quick look at his curriculum vitae and you would think that Sekar -- as he is addressed by his friends, family and peers -- was always destined to achieve this feat.

At 9 he became the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Professional, MCP. At 10, he was the world's youngest Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, MCSE. The very next year he had the distinction of becoming a Cisco Certified Network Associate, CCNA.

By 2002 Sekar had decided to go for an engineering course. However, he was only eleven then -- he was born on September 25, 1990 -- and children that age are hardly considered as engineering prospects. It was the vice-chancellor of Anna University, Dr Balaguruswamy, who decided to set up a six-member committee to appraise Sekar's talents. No marks for guessing what happened then for Sekar's genius won the day and he was soon admitted to an under graduate course in Computer Science.

In July 2006 he found himself doing his MTech in Computer Science at IIT Madras after he scored 99.32 percentile in Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, a prerequisite for getting admission into IITs post graduate courses.

Now, this is what I call real talent!!

Hi guys, my today's article deals with the post-Harry Potter book by J.K. Rowling! Most of U must be ardent fans of Harry Potter and have relished the books written by the most imaginative and innovative author of all time! :) She deserves the fame she has now. Someone as imaginative and fascinating as her should go well with people all over the world!

The Potter mania is still not over with two more books still left to be made into movies. The sixth installment will be "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and the seventh and the eighth installments will be "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part1" and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part2". The sixth HP movie will be out this November, and the Part1 of the Deathly Hallows is projected to be out by 2010. The trailer for the Half Blood Prince released recently is absolutely awesome! Amidst all this hype, there is a new interesting news for people who are completely flabbergasted by the world of magic created by J.K. Rowling. Its her new book, "The Tales Of Beedle The Bard" making waves before its released!! The book is slated for release on August 4, 2008.

There was a mention about this book in the final book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". But now, its going be released in a couple of days! It is a 157-page collection of five wizardry-inspired fairy tales. Rowling previously produced seven hand-crafted copies of the book – but this is its first commercial publication.

Beedle will retail for $12.99, with Amazon.com offering 100,000 leather-bound "Collector’s Edition" copies, designed to mimic the handmade originals, for $100 each. Proceeds from the sale will go to the Children’s High Level Group, Rowling’s charity for vulnerable children.

This, my fellows, is a ceiling wallpaper in a smoking room in Mumbai!! What a way to campaign against smoking!! Guys, the average age of a smoker has been estimated as 35. Recently, billionaire Bill Gates and Michael Bloomberg have launched a $500 million venture for the anti-smoking campaign. India and China are the main targets of the campaign!!

Smoking is one of the ways to commit a slow suicide, they say. True to the words, tobacco is a slow poison. The Indian govt. is tightening rules as of late and those who smoke publicly will be prosecuted. This was already quoted, but will be implemented effectively from next month onwards.

All the cigarette manufacturing companies are facing a crisis and are on the verge of shutting down and concentrating on other domestic products. Nightmares at the workplace!!

Hi guys and girls!! I'd like to share my experience at my workplace today. I work for an ITES firm, which is not exactly a call centre job(The 'ITES' word makes all of us think that its a call centre job!) or something, its a job related to e-book creation and bookmarking. Yea, i know its a sick kinda job! But, what makes it even more sicker is that I'm put in the bench as of now since the project is not fully approved yet!

Guys, being in a bench is not the worst thing to happen. It'll actually be the best thing to happen at the beginning because you'll have a whirlwind of a time at the workplace since you'll not be having work at all and have all the luxuries at the company's cost! But guys, seriously, as the days proceed, the same jobless days seem like hell! Going by experience, i was fascinated by the initial perks that the company was able to give me and I was like "How can a company earn so much just out of bookmarking stuff!!". But, slowly, my liking towards the job started fading. Actually my position is like: I'm in a job, but still i'm jobless!!

Being jobless at a workplace can be fun if you've got other activities like browsing through the internet, and that too if you're a blogger, you'll have a nice time out there! But, there's a check her too!! All the websites have been banned and all you are left with is the crappy company website!! Wtf are you gonna do with the company website!! I mean, yea, u can use that for internal purposes, but banning even google is the height of security!!

Ha, but we're criminals!! We don't give up that easily, do we?? So, i started accessing a few so called "company-banned" websites with a few proxy server websites like www.anonymizer.ru and www.ninjaproxy.com, www.kproxy.com!! But, the company fellows have put up a filter which restricts words 'webproxy.jsp' in the URL bar which appears as a result of searching the target website from the proxy server website. So, i opted on for web tunneling websites which use the 'doPost()' method of http and prevents the server from tracking down filtered words. One such website is "www.butterflyburger.com".

But, the IE keeps on showing security measures as its a secure tunneling protocol and by the time it finishes displaying all the messages, ta da!! The IE hangs and closes itself down!! How sick... :( The only purpose for which i'm going for the job is to get a salary and if that too gets crapped up, I'll quit the job and rather stay home! Atleast, i can catch up with some good sleep!!

So guys, my word is that please don't stay long in a company which offers you no scope for development and keeps you jobless despite being in a job. Serial Blasts Rock India - What on Earth is going on???

Here we go again with the second round of serial blasts in Ahmedabad, Gujarat after yesterday's serial blasts is Bangalore. We don't know what is the motivation behind these serial blasts, but they continue to rock one city after another.

Yesterday, the IT hub of India, Bangalore was shocked by multiple blasts killing two people and injuring at least four, the first such attack after nine bombs went off in the northern city of Jaipur in May.

The devices were equivalent to the intensity of two grenades and timers were used, police commissioner Shankar Bidari said in the southern Indian city today. Television pictures showed police with dogs investigating the scene of the blasts that blew out windows and damaged walls.

Terrorist attacks in Indian cities have killed more than 140 people in the past year as multiple explosive devices strapped to bicycles, hidden under cinema seats and near market stalls have targeted civilians. While the government typically blames foreign- trained terrorists, most of the attacks are unsolved.

And today, seventeen serial blasts in crowded market areas in the space of 20 minutes rocked the Gujarat capital on Saturday night leaving eighteen killed and injuring above 100.The low-intensity explosions occurred at eight areas of Maninagar, Isanpur, Narol circle, Bapunagar, Hatkeshwar and Sarangpur bridge, Sarkej and Odhav and created a wave of panic.

Television channels claimed they got an e-mail from little known outfit called 'Indian Mujahideen' to say they were responsible for Saturday's blasts. The same outfit had claimed responsibility for the blasts in Jaipur and Uttar Pradesh.

But, the satire is that all these blasts are linked with politics! The new reads - Two BJP led states have been bombed by terrorists!! Lets beat it guys!! How can they come to such a crazy conclusion that it is linked to politics??!! You may say that BJP people might have been in a fury after losing the trust vote to the UPA govt on June 22. But, that doesn't mean that its going to bomb India for that!! And that too in a region that it is ruling!! They have the brains to know that if they are linked to such an incident even in the slightest manner, they'll never be able to step into the political regime once again!

This is purely a terrorist attack by some group called Indian Mujahideen. Lo! Here they are again to spoil the name of the Muslim Community again!! The mail reads "In The Name Of Allah"!! What a bunch of cheap bastards!! Because of them only, Muslims are having such a bad name all over the world.

And think of this - Is a terrorist going to think whether to attack a BJP-led govt state or a UPA-led govt state!! Nonsense!! They're psychos who'll target anyone, anyplace!! Its on our part to be alert and inform the police or security personnel if anything is found suspicious, atleast from now on. I think its crazy to link politics and terrorism. Yes, I do think of politicians as people who are bent on sucking the blood of common people!! But this is ridiculous!! Barack Obama on The New Yorker Magazine Cover!!

It was really satirical of "The New Yorker" magazine officials to put up a picture of U.S. Democratic Presidential Candidate, Barack Obama on the cover page of its latest issue with himself posing as a muslim and his wife as a terrorist holding an AK-47 in her hand, where the flag of the United States of America is burning at the fireplace under Osama Bin Laden's photograph!!!

Barack Obama reacted furiously at the cartoon which he commented "is not funny"!! The cover page was designed with the view that Barack Obama is a muslim claimed by the Republicans. The presidential hopeful's campaigners said most readers will find the New Yorker magazine's front cover "tasteless and offensive, and we agree".

Muslims all over the world are being meted out such cruel treatment, guys. A muslim doesn't get a visa easily, he's always checked and double checked and so on! Shahrukh was once interrogated at U.K. airport for hours together just becuase his name had a surname, "Khan"!! Kamal Hassan was interrogated for sporting a beard which made the authorities suspect that he was a muslim!! Just because a few muslim bastards are terrorists, why is the whole community being treated so badly???

Now, this satirical photo is reminiscent of the treatment that muslims are being offered, nothing else!! But the New Yorker stood by its cover. It said: "The fantastical images shows them for the obvious distortions they are. Satire is part of what we do."

The war between the Khans!!

The winners of these two rounds will enter the finals and fight to finish and gain the "Khan no.1 contender"!! Lolz... Other Khans are invited too!! Saif!! Where r u???!!!

The story is like this: It was Katrina's birthday party and Salman himself had personally invited Shahrukh to the party. But, Salman seemed to be on a high after drinking. He provoked Shahrukh to a wordy brawl. What made him do so was SRK's denial to come to his show "Dus Ka Dum". Now, Salman had agreed to be a part of a "Kaun Banega Crorepati" episode and also agreed to shake legs with thim in Om Shanti Om. But, now his obligation had been turned down. He accused Shahrukh of being selfish as he "maintained relations only till he needs it". He also said that his show "Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai" was a big flop. Now Shahrukh also got provoked by his words and he retorted that his show "Dus Ka Dum" was a bigger flop and nobody watched it. Salman continued saying "Keep quiet or I'll beat you up here itself". Shahrukh retorted "Yeah, try raising your hands on me, and i'll beat you black and blue in front of your own friends and in your party".

They didn't stop until Aamir Khan intervened between them as the fight got more nastier. Finally Gauri Khan had to pull away Shahrukh from the party and Katrina had to stop Salman!! Aamir Khan tried hard to mediate between the two. It was quite surprising as Shahrukh and Aamir were not on very good terms after Aamir's nasty comments on Shahrukh such as "Ask Shahrukh how it feels to be no.2" and naming his dog as Shahrukh and then publishing a blog saying "Shahrukh is licking my feet and i'm feeding him biscuits".

Aamir has even expressed his interest in working with Shahrukh for a movie soon if he gets any such offers!! But Shahrukh is usually a very calm guy who replied very gently to Aamir's nasty comments. Can't understand how he got into the brawl!

But guys, lets face it. Salman shouldn't have insulted his own guest. Or atleast he could've kept him uninvited!! This shows that there is a lot of heat and competition for securing the no.1 position in the film industry. But, this should not be openly expressed this way. It looks so cheap.

Thinking about it, Shahrukh and Salman were very good friends sometime ago!! But now, they're fighting! Lets hope their relation gets normal and they agree to help each other in future. What the hell's going on in India???

The inflation went sky-rocketing, and reports came pouring in that the UPA govt did nothing to curb the inflation. Instead, the reports read, "Govt. interested only in N-Deal". This gave them a total "Bad Guys" image among all the people in the country. Despite knowing this, they decided to go with the nuclear deal. All the opposition parties and even their allies decided to go against them. Still the UPA govt stood by their decision to go with the deal, no matter what.

Then, reports began pouring in that India is on the verge of nuclear fuel depletion and all the reactors here are retaining only half their original strength and will lead to a breakdown soon if adequate steps are not taken in time. Prakash Karat, CPI[M] general secretary is the person who vigorously launched the anti-UPA campaign. His comic slogans("Congress ka haath America ke Saath") struck a chord with the local people.

But, in a very short time, people were able to understand why the Congress is so intent on completing the deal. The logic was very simple - Will any govt in India, which is always concerned about holding its helm over the nation forever, be interested in doing something which will affect its position forever? Obviously, no. Which quite effectively points out that, for the first time in Indian politics, some organization is striving hard to do good to the nation. The highlighted points in this deal is that this deal will help India end its nuclear fuel crisis and lower its dependencies on perishable sources of energy thus helping in its limited usage and reducing the rate of Inflation. Also, it will put India on the list of top nations and will have its say in the international arena.

But, it also has its own negatives. The Indian politicians never understood the intent of the Americans. Americans wanted to contain Indian nuclear ambition through a treaty and then use that precedence to contain other friendly nations’ nuke ambitions.

There is also another interest. America expects that India will buy close to $100 billion worth nuclear reactors from America. No one knows what India promised Dick Cheney and his corporate insiders. Russians expect India to buy the reactors from them.

The biggest problem is that India has created a situation where her indigenous nuclear research can be challenged. India cannot have its own individual fuel processing unit. So, even if India can generate its own Thorium fuel supply, it cannot make use of i because there's a clause in the deal stating that it should not have a nuclear fuel processing unit. Moreover, there's another clause stating that the U.S. will setup their own processing units in India and use them, but Indians cannot make use of them.

The Americans may still challenge India. They want to contain India’s nuclear ambition. Saddam in eighties received chemical warfare technologies from America to fight Iran. But, what happened to Saddam's fate at the end.

Thinks guys, America is one nation which would not allow any other nation to come out as a superpower. Though, it may temporarily address the two surging problems: reprocessing of spent fuel and assured nuclear fuel supplies for the lifetime of a reactor, in the long run, our country is at a huge loss.

But, the UPA govt is smart in convincing people to make them think their way. And they took the path of "we're doing good to the nation and we're not concerned about our govt failing in the next election"! Wow, now this is what I call real politics. Putting a mask of goodness doesn't hide the ugly intentions. Otherwise why would Barack Obama, U.S. Democratic Presidential candidate show interest towards a nation which is in no way related to him, lest it benefits him someway!

But, so much has happened in the one day-July22. Unexpected events took place at a fiery pace. UPA winning the trust vote at the Loksabha was less talked, but the three MPs from BJP made history as they openly put forth the bribe issue to the Loksabha speaker Somnath Chatterjee. All hell broke out loose yesterday. A vote being purchased at 3 crores for which 1 crore(2.5 million USD)is the advance amount!!! Waah!! Three persons have openly confessed it. So thinkhow many have gobbled up the amount!!

The situation in India is getting worser day by day. Whether this bribing issue is true, whether this N-deal will do good to the nation, whether the UPA govt will secure its stand in the next elections!! Everything is in the pipeline. Lets hope India gets the best! Whatever happens to these politicians, who's bothered anyway!! This is me, Chella signing off till then, bye guys! :)

Kismat Konnection Not So Impressive As Shahid's previous two ventures

Kismat Konnection is one of those feel-good NRI movies in recent times. Only that the charm that it possessed in the first half of the movie is totally missing in the second half of the movie. This movie is definitely the start of a different genre of movies in Hindi like "Bruce Almighty", "What Women Want", but the film takes a formulaic approach in the second half which is spoil-sport! I mean, the director shows u a glimpse of his talent with the breezy and different screenplay in the first half, then y not take the untrodden path??? Y take the same boring path thats tried and tested???

As for the story, Canada-based Raj Malhotra (Shahid Kapoor) was an exceptional architecture student, such that his classmates had his face put on the cover of a faux Time magazine certain that this would indeed happen within a few years. Burdened with these expectations, Raj hunts for work with friend and partner Hiten (the usual hero’s sidekick stereotype who is less good-looking and less bright) played by Vishal Malhotra. The two try hard, but don’t get a break.

Raj realises his bad luck is unrelenting. So luckless is he that water runs out when he’s taking a shower (and he uses the water bottle from the fridge), his card wont’ be accepted at the ATM when he needs it the most, the lift won’t work when he’s late for a meeting.

There are some really endearing scenes like the one where the two buffoons are going to meet an important person for work and Raj tells his partner Hiten: “act cool. Only we know we are broke.” In a rather touching moment, Raj compares himself to his less capable college-mates who are doing far better than him. He needs “just one chance” but has now given up his fight against his kismat. This is where the fun begins (and ends pretty quickly, too).

He sees an advertisement of one Haseena Bano, only to find out that she’s an eccentric, gypsy fortune-teller (Juhi Chawla, dependably chirpy). She tells him that a lucky charm will come his way that can help resurrect his kismat. A few chance meetings later, he realises that this charm is a person, a girl Priya (Vidya Balan) he keeps meeting under the unlikeliest circumstances. He is determined to change the first few not-so-pleasant meetings to more agreeable ones and asks her out for coffee the next time her car hits him.

Priya helps out at a community centre for aged people (Lage Raho Munnabhai, remember?) and requests Raj to help in her fight against a new mall coming up. Coincidence—this is the project that Raj was pitching for.

The romance between Shahid and Vidya is wonderful to watch, especially their flirtations when she teasingly says she wants a 6-foot tall guy or when she accidentally catches him looking at her. But that’s where the party ends. Barring these moments, the second half is a disappointment. Clichés abound leading to a finale full of emotional melodrama and a preachy monologue that leaves you feeling zilch.

The love triangle that the director introduces in the second half of the story is the most sickening part of the movie. Then the third person is shooed away from the screen by giving a "Bad" conduct certificate!! The chemistry between the lead pair is worth a watch. The song sequences are quite good, especially the "Aai Pappi" dance number.

And Shahid is as good-looking as ever!! Long hair or short hair! He's superb hero material dudes!! Though Vidya does not look like his perfect match like Shahid-Amrita pair in Vivah, she's cool and not irritating like Kareena!!(Sorry guys, i really hate Kareena, don't mind me!!)

In conclusion, the movie is watchable in the first half, but sags in the later half, Shahid fans can see the movie just for his great looks and the chemistry between Vidya and Shahid is a must watch!! So, enjoy the movie guys, its me Chella signing off!!! Cya...

The big delay in the date of joining for software concerns!!

Hi guyz and galz! As i mentioned in my previous blog, i'm an IT graduate from SSN College Of Engineering, Chennai. I passed out of college just this year some 10 days ago. I'd like to share my views on my college placement with you all. We had some good placements in SSN for my senior batches. Mind you all. Senior batches! They got bulk placements in CTS, Infy, HCL and many other leading companies. But, with our batch, luck played a very bad game, or I must say, the college played a very bad game, introducing a new rule saying that each company can take a maximum of only 60 students and not more. So, with great difficulty, we all stumbled one company after another, each of us getting placed in different companies, and some of them losing their opportunity in spite of being well equipped with soft skills required for getting a job. Even if they were eligible, the company was not able to take them up cause if there are some 75-80 students on the employers list whom he'd like to take, he has to randomly axe down a few candidates! (Placement needs a loooooooooottttttttt of luck dudes!!)

But, even after so much agony, most of us got placed in one company or other. Now, its time for us to face yet another crisis. Many of my fellow graduates who've got placed must be knowing, we've not been given the date of joining yet! And its getting delayed day-by-day, week-by-week and month-by-month. Dunno if it soon will become an "year-by-year" situation!! If we ring up the HRs to ask "whats cooking!!", they don't have a proper reply for us. Experts say that the main reason behind this is the fluctuation of the Rupee value against the US Dollar. Some say that companies call on the basis of "How-flourishing-the-business-is"!!! As of now, the gossip mills say that TCS will call the fresh recruits by November, HCL by September-October time, CTS in January 2009!, Caritor in February-March 2009!!, Infosys by August-September, Wipro by November. But, the thing of worry is that these are not confirmed schedules of the date-of-joining. Though there are a few lucky people who have been placed in iNautix and Mphasis EDS, who have already been recruited!!

So, guys, we all are facing the same problem! Dunno how long this wait will go on!! But, we have to wait if we want a strong foothold in the industry... All the best for all of them who are in this "waiting" bandwagon! Hope u get recruited soon(if u want!! Otherwise we can enjoy the good life of eating and sleeping for a few more months!!) Hi there guyz and galz! I'm an IT graduate from SSNCE and was searching for a job after completing my degree. Tell you what, finding a full time job on your own can get sickening, dudes. Long queues, registration, sweating and loads more of bullshit!! And at the end of the day, the people at the company say "Please submit your resumes and we'll call you shortly if the job profile matches our requirement"!! Can you imagine! Traveling all the way to the company to submit a profile and hear a crappy line we-will-call-you-later. Nonsense. What a waste of time! If they wanted to get our profile, they could've done it online,right!

For submitting our profile online where it may attract some good employers, we need to register ourselves at a good job portal. Obviously, you'd be knowing many job portals like Naukri.com, freshshersworld.com and many others. But, friends, going by experience, i tell u, monster.com is the best existing and active job portal. Registering in job portals have their own advantages. Some of them are - the employers know whom to approach, they conduct a phone interview and get an idea about the candidate, so they can call them for further interview process or decide to axe them at that point itself(its a lot better to be rejected in a phone interview than go all the way and get rejected in person). And if you keep your resume updated, you definitely stand a better chance of finding a good job, whatever your field of specialization maybe, whether IT or ITES or port operations or agricultural engineering or anything else.

Call center jobs are available aplenty. I had registered in monster some 10 days ago and had been receiving about 10 mails and 3-4 calls per day from various firms inquiring if i was interested in attending the interview. Now, I've found myself a job in Hurix Systems, an IT services provider. So guys, if you are on the look out for a good job, definitely register in monster. Its worth it. There is a lot of hype for the movie as it is supposed to be a hattrick for Shahid who's been on a high after two blockbusters Vivaah and Jab We Met and is also the comeback movie for Aziz Mirza, the veteran director of Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman.

Will his kismat (luck) stays with him through the release of "Kismat Konnection," sans Kareena?

For Shahid-Kareena made a fantastic pair in "Jab We Met". Will his pairing with Vidya Balan in "Kismat Konnection" work equally well for the both?

"Comparison is uncalled-for, because both 'Jab We Met' and 'Kismat Konnection' have approached romance in different ways. All three are good artists, but there are roles in which some fit and others do not. Vidya fits in the role of Priya she has done in my film," Mirza said.

The other attractions of the movie are the boisterous presence of Juhi Chawla and the voiceover given by Shah Rukh Khan.

Moreover, there are the gossip mills churning about Shahid and Vidya’s romantic affair going on since the stars are meeting a lot after shooting and are spotted together at many places! Shahid commented “I’m happy if the rumours about me and Vidya make the producers get their money’s worth”!

The music is good and the trailors are quite impressive. The movie is a comedy-cum-fantasy kind of script with Juhi Chawla playing the crystal ball reader! So lets hope good for Shahid and wish that his Kismat continues with “Kismat Konnection”!!

“I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let's start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation for Muslims. 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly.

The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by an OBC player should be counted as 8 runs.. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century.

We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player.

Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 km/ hour to an OBC player.

Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.

Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.

There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let's recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and politicians (that can really help the country...)

Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country...)

So, finally the cast for the Chetan Bhagat novel "Five Point Someone" inspired movie, "3 Idiots" has been finalised!! The novel was a massive hit among the youth and had become a rage! Chetan Bhagat became famous all over! The story is very peppy and deals with three IITians who goof up their lives but somehow, towards the end, come out of it unscathed.

Films targeted at the youth never fail to get the cash register ringing at the box office! Moreover, the casting crew is the same as "Rang De Basanti". Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi play the lead roles for the characters Ryan, Hari and Alok! So, we can surely expect a blockbuster with veteran actors into the movie! Kareena Kapoor is taking the female lead. And Boman Irani will play professor Cherian!

Ryan's character is pivotal, he is the happy-go-lucky and peppy character who's Hari's mentor! And guess what! Aamir Khan's playing the character of Ryan! He'll be perfect for the role... It'll be just like his role in Dil Chahta Hai, of course, the fun quotient will be much more higher this time around! Hari and Neha are the love birds in the movie. But i guess Siddharth would've fit in better into the character, Hari, what say guys!

The movie is being produced by veteran producer, Vidhu Vinod Chopra and being directed by Rajkumar Hirani of Munnabhai series fame! There was a little trouble in the beginning as SRK was intent on producing it, but things got resolved soon and Vidhu sir took the helm of production. Guess the movie will be a blockbuster! Keep your fingers crossed guys!

A perfect break for Imran Khan!! Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na...

So.... Here comes Imran Khan, who's gotta perfect break just like his uncle, Aamir Khan had got in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak...!! And really, what a movie to start a career!

The storyline is quite simple... Jai(Imran) and Aditi(Genelia) are very close friends, so close that everybody including their friends and Aditi's parents think they're in love... But, they make it clear to everybody that they do not love each other and are nothing but close friends. Then, things take a turn and they both put up an agreement to find out the right pair for each other. Aditi fixes up a girl for Jai, which works out in a successful relationship between Jai and the girl with whom he was hooked up... But, its then that she realizes that she loves Jai, but not able to tell him because of her ego and the situations that arise. In the meanwhile, Aditi starts dating another guy who's an absolute playboy. But, she does it only for the sake of forgetting Jai. Jeealousy creeps in into Jai as well as Aditi and they realize that they really love each other.

The treatment and the screenplay is refreshing. There are some subtle moments and funny moments all the way through the movie. Nasseeruddin Shah's delight on seeing his Rathore son fulfill the conditions for being called a Rathore is a treat to watch. And not to mention guest appearances by Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan! They tickle your funny bone whenever they come into the scene! :) Not to mention about Genelia! She is as cute as ever! Finally, she also has made a noteworthy debut in Hindi!

Music is a delight to listen! Maestro A.R. Rahman knows the pulse of the youth too well to make any mistakes! The climax is noteworthy and quite comical... The whole movie gives u a feel-good warmth and you walk out of the theatre with a broad smile...! :) Hats off to the whole crew, especially Aamir Khan for delivering one more quality product to the film industry!

Rifts between King Khan And Dada??

There have been reports of the Kolkata Knight Riders Skipper Sourav Ganguly and the team owner Bollywood actor, Shahrukh Khan not getting along well with each other. News reports have been pouring in that the team owner is unhappy with the skipper for the composition of his team. What has Sourav got to tell about this??

"It's not true and I have nothing more to say," said Kolkata skipper Sourav Ganguly.

Earlier, Sourav Ganguly said, "I have seen the reports and I will clarify his stand in the controversy later." Refusing to comment on the issue and not denying any such reports could hint at a possible rift between the two. However, owner Shah Rukh Khan has not reacted to reports over possible rift between the two.

Has the peace in the Kolkata Knight Riders' camp been shattered? Are 'Dada' Sourav Ganguly and 'Badshah' Shah Rukh Khan not getting along with each other anymore? Yes, say insiders.

The two biggies in the Kolkata team are not seeing eye to eye on many issues. The problem apparently started with the entertainment tax that Shah Rukh Khan is paying for the matches being played at the Eden Gardens. The Bollywood star wanted Ganguly to speak to West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya and try and get it abolished. The Kolkata captain, who is known to be close to the CM, has refused to oblige, at least till now.

Eden Gardens is the only stadium where an IPL team is paying entertainment tax. That is not all though. The core problem is KKR's sudden dip in form and its poor performance in the last few games, harming their semifinal chances. Shah Rukh, sources say, is not too happy with this change of fortunes although he hasn't expressed his feelings openly. Ganguly, on the other hand, has not been too pleased with the team composition right from the beginning. The differences surfaced during the auction itself, with Sourav wanting more batsmen while the team management was more keen on bowlers.

The problems magnified when coach John Buchanan was given more powers than the captain himself. To add fuel to the fire, Shah Rukh announced that the coach will take all the decisions for the team next year onwards, upsetting Ganguly in the bargain.

Ganguly has apparently already begun showing his discontent: he preferred to go back home after the last match rather than stay back for a press conference to annouce Knight Riders' tie-up with a website. Said an insider, who was present at the event, "Shah Rukh did pass some caustic remarks saying, 'I thank all my teammates for being at the press conference but who can forget Dada who is missing from the event'."

The duo also had a difference of opinion when Khan was keen that his team fielded first in the last game against Chennai; Ganguly, however, preferred to bat first. Eventually, the Knight Riders lost by 3 runs on Duckworth-Lewis following a rain interruption.

Was it so necessary to put this article up in a public place like his official blog?? There was no need for Aamir to get into an open tussle with his competitors. The fight for the No.1 position in Hindi Film Industry has got so local?? Whatever maybe the case, there was no need for such media speculation and public criticism. He has invited controversial talks not only from SRK fans, but also from his own. It may be recalled that just a few days ago when Aamir was asked what he would like to ask Shahrukh Khan, he replied: "I would like to ask Shahrukh, how it feels to be No.2." Such open fights do not augur well for a person like Aamir who's going great in the Hindi film Industry.

Santosh Subramaniam--Will it be a phenomenon??!!

With Santosh Subramaniam's audio launched, the film's gearing up for release in the second week of April and Jeyam Ravi's spirits are running high!! The movie is a re-make of the blockbuster movie "Bommarillu". The shooting has been completed but the songs have been shot with great difficulty. The song sequences have been conceived at the most impossible crowded locations like Ranganathan Street, Mount Road, Central Station and even Radhakrishnan Salai!! The cast and crew are said to have gone to the location in two cars and a van with a camera fixed in it. All of a sudden the actors came out of a car and dance or walk towards the other car, which was parked at a distance. Their movements were captured by the camera from the van. Once the actors reached the car, the car suddenly departed the place. Everything was finished before the crowd could realize and identify the stars!!

The songs are quite impressive with an original composition as well along with other "re-made" songs!! The song is "Adada Adada" sung by actor Siddharth, who croons for a song for the first time. I'll tell you friends, re-making a movie which has reached a cult status in another state and making it an equally good venture is really a difficult job. Ravi agrees with me!! He said: “People think it’s as easy as falling of a log to remake movies, but it’s a very difficult task since the movie has already achieved a cult status. It’s like trying to redo a magician’s trick after seeing him perform. Luckily, we have got everything in place and I’m pleased with the output”. Well, thats what all the stars say before the release of a movie!! The telugu movie "Bommarillu" was extremely cute and fantastic. And the performances by Siddharth, Genelia and Prakash Raj were indeed mind-blowing. So, lets see if he recreates the magic with his performance!! All the best Ravi!!

Any wild guesses on who this girl could be??? Just try for a few mins... Got it?? Well, she's none other than the girl who made us all dance to the tunes of the blockbuster song, "Kathaazha Kannale Kuthadhae, Nee enna"!! Yup, she is Snigdha, a model from north india!! Wonder how she did the south indian "Kuthu" steps so beautifully being a girl from north indian origin!! She has recently signed the next film which will be directed by Mysskin, the successful director of "Chithiram Pesuthadi" and the recent hit "Anjaathe". The movie has been titled "Nandhalala" and the shooting is said to commence by June. The central theme of Nandhalala is said to be around a child and for this purpose, a child has been selected and is being given the required training to perform.

The north Indian girl who is quite satisfied with the reach of the item number is happy to be in Nandhalala. Ravi Krishna who debuted in 7G Rainbow Colony is her co-star, though Vishal was given the script first. Due to his busy schedule, he could not act in the movie. So, Mysskin went on to choose Ravi Krishna. His debut was a huge hit. But after that, the hero was not able to prove himself quite well due to bad selection of movies. But this time, since Mysskin dons the mantle as the director, we can expect a great movie with all the necessary elements of a commercial hit. Lets wish the girl good luck with this venture!!

Raghuvaran passes away

Raghuvaran, one of the finest and versatile actors in the Tamil Film Industry unfortunately passed away today, the 19th of March, 2008. He was admitted to Mehtha Hospital for treatment a few days ago. The reason for the death has been disclosed as weakness caused by excessive alcohol consumption. It is learnt that he had been under intensive medical care for the past few weeks.

He has acted in several Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi films. Most of his roles were of a villain or a supporting actor.Though he has acted in several films, he shot to fame with his role as the protagonist of a Tamil soap opera, 'Oru Manidhanin Kadhai' (One Man's Story), about the agony of a well-to-do man who becomes an alcoholic.

Unfortunately, the drug addiction cast its shade in his real life too. His wife Rohini too divorced him due to his addiction. They have a son Rishi.

Though Raghuvaran tried to rid his habit and tried to lead life on normal terms, the addiction did not leave him alone.

'Anjali', 'Badsha', and 'Mudhalvan' are some of the films in which he had rendered outstanding performances. He had reduced the number of films in recent years but he had three releases lined up in 2008, 'Bheemaa', 'Ashoka', and 'Silanerangalil'. His perforamances had been terrific in all these films.

As his ardent fan, i express my deepest condolences on the death of this versatile actor.

Kangaroo Massacre in Australia!!

Imagine this. A mother kangaroo, grooming her beautiful joey at night in the vast wild outback, hears the sound of a four wheel drive and stands transfixed, sensing danger. Searchlights are shone at her. A man takes aim, supposedly to shoot her in the head - but blows a hole in her neck. She falls in pain, helpless to save her joey who retreats into her pouch. But there’s no escape. The hunter pulls the joey out of his mother's blood spattered body, tosses him to the ground and stamps on his head. He writhes in agony and is left to die. (Older joeys who frantically hop away when their mothers are shot, have no chance of survival. They die a slow, lonely death from starvation or cold.)

The shot mother does not die instantly. She struggles as the hunter slits her leg open, thrusts a hook through it and hangs her upside down on a truck. She is knifed, gutted, her head, tail and legs tossed aside. This is the fate of Australia’s national emblem.

The official number of kangaroos set to be killed for export in 2006 is 3.8 million, slaughtered mainly for their skin and meat. Official statistics ignore the millions of joeys (young kangaroos) who also die when their mothers are shot, which vastly increases the true scale of the slaughter. When non-commercial and illegal kills are included, together with the large number of road kills, the figure could be doubled.

Kangaroos are killed commercially for their meat and skin. Traditionally, their skin has been used to make football boots and their meat used in pet food. John Kelly of the Kangaroo Industries Association of Australia says: “Many people don’t realise that most of the goals kicked in world class soccer are kicked with kangaroo leather.”

Do not buy kangaroo leather! Choose football boots, baseball gloves and handbags that are made from modern synthetic materials instead.
Write "letters to the editor" to daily and weekly newspapers, and to radio and TV stations. Contact relevant talk shows and raise this question.

The Chennai team of BCCI’s Indian Premiere League (IPL) has roped in two top stars from Kollywood to add colour to the team.

Chennai Super Kings formally embraced the glamour that cinema is believed to bring along by roping in two Kollywood biggies as its brand ambassadors. The leading young actor Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay and the hot girl of Kollywood Nayantara were officially announced as brand ambassadors of the team.

The announcement was made at a glittering function held in Chennai today (March 18). Vijay, who was present in the function said, “I am thrilled to be part of the Chennai Super Kings. I am an ardent fan of cricket, thanks to my son, who is glued to the television set whenever India plays.”

Hi friends!! Life as a hero can be sometimes be very good even if u r not lucky enough to get original scripts most of the time!! But, tell u what, one of the heroes who is sooooooo lucky that he doesn't act with a heroine even twice!! Yup, ur right guys... My post refers to the one and only "Jayam" Ravi... What a guy he is!! He's not a very experienced actor, but what a line up of heroines he's been shaking legs and running around trees with!! Man, u surely can envy him for that!!

His line up of heroines:

1. Sadha:
He started off with "Jayam", a remake of a telugu film of the same name. It was his first break as well as for Sadha in Tamil(though Jayam in Telugu was her first movie). Tell u what... She looked somewhat good in the film(unlike the way she looks nowadays!!). The movie was declared a hit, but friends, i tell u there was nothing in the movie i felt was worth watching !! Since it was a debut for both of them, the movie didnt get much of a hype and hoopla, but it ran decently... After Jayam she went on to act in Aethiree with Maddy, Varnajaalam with Srikanth, Anniyan with Vikram, Priyasakhi with Maddy again, Thirupathy with Ajith Kumar and the latest, Unnale Unnale with debutante actor Vinay. She has also acted in a number of Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies. And now the latest news is that she's going to act in a couple of Hindi movies!! So, all the best Sadha with ur future ventures...

And the second lady with whom he co-starred with was the hip and happening Asin:

2. Asin:

The second movie happened a year after his first movie was released. And the movie was worth the wait. It was "M.Kumaran, S/O Mahalakshmi" which went on to be a smash hit. It was again a re make of the Telugu movie "Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammai" in which she had debuted in Telugu. It was a big break for her and she really did it well in the role of "Malabar", a girl from Kerala. She had actually signed Ullam Ketkumae as her first film in Tamil, but M. Kumaran was the first to hit the screens before Ullam Ketkumae. After that there was no turning back for her as hits were coming continuously for the gorgeous girl. Her next big hit was "Ghajini" Opposite Surya, for which she won the Filmfare Best Actress Award, South. Then she went on to act with lead Tamil heroes, the likes of Vikram, Vijay, Ajith in a number of films. Her latest offering was "Vel" opposite Surya, which was declared a hit. She still has the prestigious "Dasavatharam" opposite Kamal Hassan and the hindi remake of "Ghajini" opposite Aamir Khan in the pipeline. Rumour has it that Asin is slowly shifting her career into hindi films here on. Lets hope she proves herself there too the way she proved herself here!

3. Renuka Menon:
The third movie was opposite the svelte-looking Renuka Menon who is yet to make a mark in the Tamil film industry. The movie was "Daas" which was an original script. But the movie didn't create much a sort of waves in the industry. But still the girl looked quite good and Ravi would have as well had a good time with her!! After "Daas", she went on to star with "Bharat" of Boys and Kaathal fame in the movie "February 14" which proved out to be a flash in the frying pan. Her next release was with Kalabhak Kadhalan which was a movie of an offbeat genre. Her co-star this time was Arya. Her future plans are not very clear in the Tamil film industry as there is news that she has stopped acting and is going to get married.

The fourth lady is quite impressive i must say!!:

4. Shriya Saran:
"Mazhai" was "Jayam" Ravi's fourth film and this time his lead lady was Shriya, the queen of Telugu film industry. The movie was a re-make of the Telugu film, "Varsham" which was a blockbuster. She had earlier acted in Enakku 20 Unakku 18. She then signed "Thiruvilayadal Aarambam" opposite Dhanush which was a reasonable hit. But her ticket to fame in Tamil Industry came with "Sivaji: The Boss" opposite Superstar Rajini. Then she went on to do "Azhagiya Tamil Magan" and did a cameo in "Indiralogathil Na. Azhappan". She is currently busy with the shooting of Susi Ganesan's "Kanthasamy" opposite Vikram. She is also doing a movie in Hollywood opposite Jesse Metcalfe and a couple of Hindi movies.

His fifth movie was "Idhaya Thirudan" opposite:

5. Kamna Jethmalani:

She has not become such a big person to write about... Just two movies so far, one opposite Jayam Ravi(with a steamy smooch!!) and the second one opposite Jeevan in "Machakkaran". So, lets move on to the next heroine!!

6. Trisha:
"Something Something Unakkum Enakkum" was the sixth movie for him opposite the happening actress Trisha. This was again a re-make of a Telugu movie "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana" which she had originally starred with Siddharth(who looked great compared with our hero!!). She has acted in a host of Tamil movies including a bathroom clipping which made her very famous. This fame was something more than the name she obtained by acting in films!! She is a great "friend" of Simbu(see 'En Ragasiya Kanavugal' song from "alai") and Vijay(that u all know!!). She's currently busy with "kuruvi" with Vijay.

His next heroine:

7. Bhavana:
Her foray into tamil films was with Narain in "Chithiram Pesuthadi". Then, she did Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai with flop star Srikkanth and then it was our hero in "Deepavali". The movie was a decent hit, but buddies, the "Susee" word rings in ut head for a very long time!! It simply irritates ur ear drums when our hero repeatedly mentions the name!! She then went on to do a couple of movies with Madhavan and Jeeva but they didn't do any good business at the box office. But, things apart, our heroine is very very cute and deserves to get a good place in Tamil film industry!! So lets wish her all the best and beware Bhavana, don't get caught in any bathroom videos!!

His next movie is "Santosh Subramaniam" which is in the making with:

8. Genelia
She is an extremely cute actress who unfortunately couldn't make a big mark in the Tamil film industry inspite of acting under the "Shankar" banner in "Boys" and with Vijay in "Sachien". Both of them were average hits. But later on, she did a disaster with "Chennai Kadhal". Wonder why she and Bharat signed that movie!! It had no storyline as well as performances. But, she grew famous in the Telugu film industry with a number of movies especially the childish role in "Bommarillu" opposite Siddharth!! It was this film only which bagged her the Telugu Filmfare Best Actress and the re-make role in Tamil. Hope she makes it big here too!!

9. Kangana Ranaut:

Jayam Ravi has signed his next movie with hindi actress Kangana Ranaut and Lakshmi Rai under the name "Dhaam Dhoom". The movie started off well but in the middle of the shooting, director Jeeva passed away. So, now the movie is being directed by Manikandan. The hindi Heroine had a tough life until "Gangster" happened. after that she went on to do "Life In a Metro" which was an offbeat film, but was declared a hit. Hope she makes it in Tamil film industry too..!!

His next movie is declared to be "Peraanmai". So, we can say that our hero has quite a large no. of movies in the making. But look at the list of heroines he has worked with in the last four years.!!! I must say, a re-make hero can't desire more than this!! Three cheers to our "Re-make" Ravi, sorry "Jayam" Ravi....!!
